What was Xarxa Teatre’s first international production is now experiencing a second youth. Adapted to any regulations on the use of pyrotechnics, static or itinerant, El foc del mar has recently participated in some of the most prestigious festivals in America, Asia and Europe. The use of fire, the aesthetics inspired by the work of the Catalan artist Joan Miró and the music of the dulzaina and drum mark the Mediterranean character of a show that is born from traditions and popular festivals. The Fallas, the Moors and Christians festivals or the traditional use of pyrotechnics leave aside their local character to form a universal spectacle.
